Travel Tip: Day 1 in Paris and What To Do With Jet lag
There is so much to see in Paris and no one wants to lose a minute of what the city has to offer due to jet lag.
Here is a suggestion to consider when planning your Paris itinerary: Take a stroll around the Champs Elysees.
Being a little over a mile from end to end, The Champs is an easy round trip walk and a good option for seeing some sights of the city while taking it easy on your body. Start at one end exploring the Arc de Triomphe, then stroll down one side of the avenue before spending some time exploring the Place de la Concorde with the Luxor Obelisk and twin fountains. Then head back down the other side.
There are plenty of places to stop and eat along of the way, like Laduree’s, and lots of great people watching and window shopping.
If you find yourself with extra time, there are two great gardens to explore. The Jardins des Champs Elysees is along your way from the Arc de Triomphe as you head to the Place de la Concorde. Check out the Grand and Petit Palais. The other garden is the Jardin des Tuileries. The west entrance is at the Place de la Concorde. Grab a free chair and soak in the fountains and sculptures.
At the end of the day, you will have experienced at least three iconic Parisian sites (Arc de Triomphe, The Champs Elysees and the Place de la Concorde) with minimal stress on your jet lagged body.
